Review: NARS Blush in Luster

I decided to get a NARS Blush, and being warm toned, went for Luster, which is a gold peach colour. I wanted to see if NARS Blushes live up to the hype, and so I bought this and was excited to try it out. Here’s what it looks like in the pan

collage_photocatAs you can see the packaging is typical NARS, the matte black case that unfortunately attracts finger prints. It’s easy to open and has a mirror inside the lid. I tried to swatch it but weirdly it didn’t show up very well on my hand. Do not be put off by this.

Here it is on

As you can see it’s a lovely peach colour. It’s very soft to wear, and doesn’t cling to any dry patches like some powder blushes do. It lasts all day, which is awesome, as usually I find blushes wear off a bit on me. Something else quite strange about it is in the pan, it looks very shimmery. I don’t usually like shimmery face products, but bought this because of the colour and the hype surrounding NARS blushes. On my face, the shimmer disappears and sort of just blends into a nice glow. There’s no glittery chunks or sparkly bits anywhere. So if you normally like matte blushes, I’d still suggest trying this, you might find you really like it.

This has become my favourite blush. Judging from other people’s reviews, it seems to suit a lot of skintones, particularly warm toned people. Definitely recommend. You can buy it from here.

What’s your favourite NARS blush?
